just now i walked into the building where i always have my 2nd year lectures and there i saw Boba Fett and a regular stormtrooper :S (the picture will be posted in the evening)
I also want to do an update about where i ate on monday. I went to Shiki (sorry they don't have their own site) conveniently located next to a coffeeshop in some backalley, which is a japanese restaurant (run by chinese). When we were about to enter i was saying to my friend " hmmm the food better not taste like the air here" as alleys in amsterdam usually smell like ganja, and this one was no exception at all. Anyway, I had chicken teriyaki, miso soup and green tea, and it was quite cheap, and quite nice. The person i was with (someone from my japanese class, had fried udon with chicken and he was enjoying it as well. At first we went to Kagetsu because our japanese teacher said it was a good place, but when we got there we found out it was closed on mondays. So we went to Shiki instead. It's quite sad Kagetsu was closed because when a japanese person (i.e. our teacher) says a certain japanese restaurant is good then you can bet your house on it it's good japanese food :P
I should go to our local japanese restaurant again some day, the last time i was there i wasn't into Japan yet, and now when i pass it every week on my way to guitar class the only people i see sitting in there are japanese people. So yeah..
I also found out i have finally passed Aerodynamics-A, i had 6.9 out of 10.. and during the exam i actually did not do 1 out of 4 assignments, and it was the biggest one of them, which means everything i did have was correct 0_o;; now for that damned calculus :S if i pass that i'll be allowed to partake in the first part of next year's second year project.Mirk: shocked

I've had Chinese food, but never Japanese food. Is there a huge difference??
Well, one is Chinese and the other is Japanese.
oh don't be like that! :P
I know that!! ;-P
BUt, do they taste any different? Like, Japan and China are so similar. Is there food incredibly different?
yes it does taste very different. there is not real way to describe it but they just use different herbs and ingredients so yeah.... there are a -lot- of chinese influences in japanese cuisine though.. depending on the type of dish ofcourse
the way i see it.. chinese food is more convenient and japanese food is more refined. And besides that, they obviously use different types of ingredients, like Japanese food has more fish dishes and differnet herbs. And Chinese food has more stuff that comes from the land like meat and vegetables. So yeah.. there is quite a big difference.
Ahaha... Well, then I probably wouldn't like Japanese food all that much. I hate fish. With a passion. ;-P
oh shame on you! there's not only fish! there's also chicken and fried dumpling stuff (tempura) and also beef it's quite diverse actually.. but they just specialize in fish
I want to go to a Japanese restaurant. But I'm not really allowed out of my house -_-; I haven't had a decent Chinese meal in over 2 years I think...
Pfft, at least you passed it. I was handed back my Biology homework today and I got 2 out of 6 on that.... *sobs*
oh wow.. go beg your parents.. lol
or else..
i will find out where you live and send all the local chinese food delivery services to your house with a complete selection of foods from their shops! And you will be flooded in Chinese food and drown to.. uh.. stuffedness!
MUHAA!
Japanese fooooooooooooooooooooooood!!!!!! :D
Congratulations on the A dude! :D *hates calculus with you*
it's always food with us isn't it? :P
it's Aerodynamics-A. A is not the grade i got! (you knew that *suspicious look*) :O i like aero btw.. but i do hate calculus :S Thanks though :), i'm quite glad i'm over it. Now for that damned calculus.. i guess i'm going to have to go all out on it.
:O where did that comment go? :P wanted to reply but it was empty :| :P
